Freeway also has access carriers that provide non-owners policy (a much asked about option if you are destitute). Under marital status we were not given the choice of domestic partnership. Freeway did gave us quotes from 9 smaller (except for AIG) regional carriers. The premiums on these companies were higher than we've seen from larger national carriers. Freeway's rates are presented in a confusing way, with some carriers giving a 12 month premium, others giving a 6 month and monthly rate.

Final thoughts: Kudos to Freeway for allowing the consumer to buy online for some of their carriers that allow online binding. Freeway debuted their quoting website beginning of May, and it still has a few bugs. They should steer towards a the simplicity of a Geico or Progressive website instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. Until then, their site will be confusing and a labor to use, and you get charged the $100 broker fee to buy from Freeway.
